I have a mate here in kapiti that has an 04 Busa he put a supercharger kit on.
He hasn't let me loose on it yet and hardly rides at all himself.
He also has a fleet of bikes, about 10 !!!!! Just loves building them.
    Last time I saw him, 99 Busa, B king, 1340 Bandit, V max with Nos, Gsxr750, gsx1400, BSA Rocket3 1970, Busa with charger, gs1200ss, 7/11. Yep thats 10.

It's really no different from any other big bike. Even on something like a Bandit or a VTR with "only" 100hp you can do 100km/h in first gear and the rate of acceleration doesn't let up until go-to-jail (or at least court) speeds. You just have to ride with an eye on the speedo until you get to the proper roads, where no ones watching.

    400hp sounds pretty good...

I guess so, I found my GSX600F easy to keep to legal speeds and even the M109R was okay but the 1250S was very hard to get used to. I needed more time with it but they finished my bike service too quick and I had to give it back...

I like it, I think it would be worth getting and hanging on to. If you have the cash available of course...

I feel sorry for the bugger trying to sell that thing. Have you seen the comments section? The amount of legitimately dumb ass questions (Gee shouldn't it do 400kph with 400HP?) hurts the brain.

I've had my 1250S four years now ... I think I'm used to it ... but I struggle to keep it to legal speeds ..

Last time I left Dorkland heading south the thing called a "motorway" was bad - drizzling and trucks doing 15ks ...but the long straight before the climb to Bombay was completely empty of cars and cops .. the bike was so excited it went passed 200 klicks on the clock before I could reel it in ...

That's pretty much what I felt. I loved it for traffic, though, as it was higher than my C50T and narrower. But playing with an XR8 in traffic, (well, sorta sitting back, smug in the knowledge I was only a mere twist of the wrist away from leaving him for dead...), passing up the Albany hill in towards Oteha Valley turn-off, I glanced down to see 160+ and didn't realise I was going that fast! So much smooth torque! It was rather addictive!

Some of those comments are so funny, the owner is showing great diplomacy with his responses.

    2014 model...

Well after sitting through a 40 minute presentation from Alpinestars about there insanely over priced gear that i'm never going to buy, the bikes finally got revealed.

Exact same shape as all the other 2nd Gen bikes. They didn't even read off any stats or tell us what was new and I really couldn't be fucked asking one of them because I had already been standing around for 2 hours and just wanted to get the fuck out of there. Only thing I noticed was the Brembo front callipers, everything else looked the same. They started one with yoshi cans. Sounded the same but to quiet, needed the baffles removed. Nice looking bike though, anything is when its brand new.

Guess the Gen3 is probably still a few years away but I won't be going to another colemans launch anytime soon (cheers for the free pepsi though)
