You know what would go great with such a survey-like topic Maha?

Off button seems to work well when used in conjunction with memory...

Key - neutral (if on flat) - sidestand. I have never forgotten the sidestand but had it bounce back slightly on the Hyobag a couple of years back & as I set it on the ground in heavy rain it shot back as the weight went onto it & I had a wee lie down with it, small crack in mirror plastic but good otherwise

stop, clumsily find neutral, sidestand then key,

i dunno if the kill switch even works iv never used it, kick stand works though quite often get muddled up at servos for some reason and end up killing the bike via kickstand

I always turn my bike off with the kill switch. That way the panel is still live when I'm refilling at a service station and I need to reset my trip meter. Perhaps a reason I don't own a KTM.

I also leave it in neutral.

Mrs H always leaves her bike in first gear. She has some strange dread notion about it otherwise rolling off its sidestand. However I'm generally the one who has to reposition it afterwards, and the thing is always in effing gear.

The only time I have ever seen the kill switch used as a means to stop, I got caught unable to start my poxy bike, as the FROSTY bloke that had test ridden it uses the kill switch as a default option

I only put the bike back in gear if I think I am on a slope. Oh, and welcome to Maha's world. He accuses me of being inconsistent with whether I leave Millie in or out of gear

Neutral, sidestand, ignition off. Only ever in gear on slight slope. On more severe slopes I find somewhere else to park...

On the burgman it was: come to stop, side stand out to kill ignition, hand brake on. Yes, I said hand brake.

Let's start a "mine's got a handbrake / parking brake group"... could be quite exclusive

a poll?.. I am not after the correct or proper way and thus, a poll would serve no purpose what so ever.

sidestand, and if i have the time after a long ride i give it a minute to actively cool down before shutting off the power with my key. Short-term/normal parking in neutral and 1st when i don't trust it or on a hill.

I've always been advised again using the killswitch (outside of an emergency situation ) because the circuit behind it tends to be more fragile and if that breaks, you're screwed (maybe that's brand specific, i don't know). But you have to turn your key anyway, so i don't feel the need to be anywhere near that thing.

Clutch in, stop, turn off key, sidestand.

Mechanic told me never to use the kill switch/sidestand kill switch because it can confuse the ECU.

I think the ECU is permanently confused, since the engine cuts out of it's own accord when idling from time to time, always has - und zen you musst use ze proper, very German schtarting procedure or ze bike vill not schtart again, but I digress...( apologies to our German friends on here )

Always leave the bike parked in gear in case someone/something of a greater mass bumps into it with sufficient force at the correct angle to roll it off the stand...hey, it could happen.

Always used sidestand to shut it down and always leave it in gear.

Huge one handed stoppie, just before stopped hip flick to the left to get it onto full lock, flick the side stand down so the engine dies and use the left hand to turn off the key and remove same as rear wheel touches down. Saves heaps of time.
