I was there that year,1987 If I remember correctly,First dry round for 5 years as I recall,All the Solo records went by 4-5 seconds as well Craig Barron took 4 secs off the F2 record and Stroudy won the 250 proddy race with one footpeg hanger after a crash on lap 1.Bernard shortened up his FZR1000 after getting punted off at turn 1 that year,Got some piccies somewhere I must scan and put up of Brians Fizzer and Herman and the Hippy all pitted with us there.

That must have been the year Holden won F1 on the 1100 Kirby and I had built...first lap under the minute I think too.

Rumour has it I enjoyed the pissup - I wouldn't know....
