What was holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet owned has bled to death under our knives: who will wipe this blood off us? What water is there for us to clean ourselves? What festivals of atonement, what sacred games shall we have to invent? Is not the greatness of this deed too great for us? Must we ourselves not become gods simply to appear worthy of it?”

Yeah ... sorry ... rather a lot really ... there are, I think, 166 in our solar system alone

Mercury and Venus each have none
    Earth has one.
    Mars has two
    Jupiter has 63.
    Saturn has 60.
    Uranus has 27.
    Neptune has 13.

Your use of the word A has no relevance to what I said earlier...should I have said 'the Earth's moon''? to make it clearer for someone of your intellect?

I suppose you realise that THE moon was not actually any bigger than the night before, it was just it's close proximity to earth.

Yes, sometimes the use of spazzy words is required to remove ambiguity. I know it'll be a chore for you clever fullas, but you could make more of an effort. Also you may want to consider that the comment wasn't meant for you, specifically.

Next you'll be telling me it isn't made of cheese.
    I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!

Try telling psych nurses, possom shooters and sap flow in recently pruned trees that full moon makes no difference and you may well be called a 'lunatic'
I'm well aware that EMS are more busy on a full moon, yet I think it's more psychosomatic than anything. But it has nothing to do with how much moon you can see. It's usually the suns position, relative to our position on the earth.

I tend not to elaborate that far when I ask the moon people my question. It kinda takes away from the piss take.

Oh yeah, Mashman, you are a retard.

    Jog on.

I did consider that, but looking at all the prior posts to mine, not one made mention of 'just the moon' except mine, which ironically is right above... your post.

But answer me this if you will... the celestial body that orbits the earth once a month is...just the moon?

I think you will find it's orbit takes approximately a month.

The tides are influence by both moon, and sun at the same time. Which is why the tides aren't always highest when the moon is straight above them.

This is not even highschool level sience.
