I'm praying to the weather gods like normal.
What's the point in living if you don't feel alive?

Toying with ones mortality shouldn't be this much fun.

So considerate - Good on you.

But really, when you think about it, Summer is a crap time for riding a bike.
So hot the sweat runs down your the middle of your back and then ....Not that pleasant.
There are cages everywhere, wanking day trippers wandering all over the road looking at the sights instead of where they are going.
The roads melt and you slide all over the place, and bugs...bugs for Africa - getting in your teeth...Yuk!
Gimme Spring or Autumn. That's the best time to ride.
Road gets washed regularly, nice and grippy. Not too hot. You actually get to stop to pee instead of expelling it through your skin.
    That's my favourite time.
Winter can be good too. Especially after a frosty start to the day. Brilliant blue skies - Lovely.
The Cold Kiwi is always an adventure.
    Rock on Winter.

But what about all the wet and cold?

Spring could be nice. Along with Autumn.

I don't generally get sweaty, I just wear less clothes underneath. Can't wait till I don't look like a 100kg sumo with all my layers on.

Met a world traveller a few years back and he choose his routes so the temp was always between 18-24C otherwise he stored his bike and went home till condition came good again, he may have been a bit soft but he had been doing it a while so wisdom could have been in that also

My pet peeve is a wet dry road, it needs to be one or the other as nothing can spoil your favourite road more than a wet patch just at the wrong place in a corner.

Cold morning are nice if sun is out or its just foggy as long as heated grips are on full

There's no such thing as bad weather just inappropriate clothing. Winter days in the sun - Woohoo!

Problem with summer riding is you can't take off enough clothing and the law doesn't allow you to go fast enough to cool down.

Isn't it those moments we ride for? The ones that get the heart racing and the adrenalin pumping as we look death in the face and escape by virtue of our incredible skill?

So that's going around a round a bout for me!!

Or in my case survive through sheer luck?

I've had moments where I'd have wet myself if I wasn't so tensed up!!

Not that I would ride with you boys, but it means do I or do I not go to Africa for dinner after.

What time do you think you'll end up at Africa?
