My beagle is an ex VARCC (Valley Animal Research Centre) beagle that was used for breeding purposes for the supply of puppies for testing. She was a nervous wee wreck and scared of her own shadow when we first got her. Now she has settled into the most loyal and lovable dog I've owned. I just can't imagine using these dogs for such tests. The last lot of beagle experients carried out at the research centre involved snapping dogs cruciate ligaments and testing pain levels against medication

Beautiful dog, always thought if I ever had a dog it would be a beagle, my parents had a cocker spaniel who was really lovable...must take a whole different level of heartlessness to do that to a beagle. Karma will hopefully be a bitch to them.

    Does that make it acceptable?

and those with " without doubt" life sentences rot in jails never to see daylight at our expense, a reason why I can't afford to pay the psychoactive substances bill.

this is the only acceptable animal testing i can think of, surely the cow found its way to the greenery all by itself.

everything else is just cruelty, and it shows alot about the people that allow this type of "testing" on animals to happen.

the virtual jail now imposed by society/medication
is prolly the main reason a very very few are presently running amok.....
luckily for society, most choose to take their own lives
or commit slow suicide with a substance addiction
or choose a chemical straitjacket from the doc
paid for by the tax payer!!!

Why was it that the National Party moved to have the submissions that were to be presented to the select committee on animal testing suppressed?

Are the National Party involved in some underhanded deal with the drug manufacturers to provide them with cheaper testing options?

Just so you know, these are the sort of dogs that will most likely be used to test these party pills on.

These ones are lucky dogs though. The ones who will be used to test party pills will almost certainly never be released and will most likely be so traumatised that they will have to be euthanised.

Personally, I'm not too bothered about the LD50 of the stuff. The more dropkicks that just straight out die from smoking it helps out the cause of Darwin IMO. As someone else said though the animal testing won't tell us if the shit turns people into angry mr stabby rage boy with a klepto fetish. That shit we can do without.

Dropkick here is setting up a dedicated shop for the shit. I wonder how long it will be before it gets destroyed by an angry parent, or a stabby rage boy looking for a fix.

Unfortunately, it's not the 'dropkicks' that will be getting the lethal dose.

Yeah, so why even bother testing it for LD50 is the point I was trying to make.

I don't see the problem; just like cattle and chickens, you can just breed more of them. Stuff a steel rod through the brain of a cow and quick or not, it's still dead. Animals are here for eating, working, and amusement. That hasn't changed and never will.
