This is what the term accident should apply to and not everyone should always be charged, there is discretion for this to happen but as it's a policeman it'll not be waived.
sorry, who was held to account when naitoko (sp?) was KILLED ('accidentally')
    .?

    -edit-
ive had a lot to do with guns. Never accidentally shot anyone.
Pointing a hot weapon at some one isnt an accident.

Akz, come on, they're people just like you and I, no one who is law abiding or enforcing wants to shoot anyone, they don't go out of their way to get into situations where someone gets hurt or killed, there is such a thing as a genuine accident, pity is our Gov't is hell bent on making all accidents events that can be categorized and classified as fault or no fault, usually fault so a revenue stream can be generated from it.

Surely not if AOS trained, no one knows all the details yet. I still reckon the cop will be feeling like shit about it. Caseys right, cops are humans too, and not immune from mistakes like the rest of us stupid humans.

    unfortunately wrong.
Cops are expected to be better than mere plebians.

They DO go into situations, with guns, with the EXPECTATION of having to SHOOT HUMANS.
Goes with the job. No ones forcing them to do that job.

As said. Pointing a loaded gun at someone is NOT an accident.

wasnt me that 'accidentally' shot anyone either.

Id probably be in hospital on morphine and highly fucked off.

Why does a man on the ground in cuffs have a live weapon pointed at his back?

Taking bets on recourse. Im picking nil. Again.

Am thinking that threatning his family with a gun might have something to do with it.Methinks the one thing this cunt will never do again is fuck about with a firearmThe irony of it all is Job well done i reckon.

short barrel shotty with a round of buckshot would have done a more definitive job that a bushmaster at that range

The PC bregade will play it for as much as it's worth because the gimp was playing little mr innocent when the cops did arrive, they've ( the cops) have no idea what they're dealing with, what state of mind the offender is in what he has concealed on him; all are going to be tense as boards with fear of what might be about to unfold. truth be known the trigger probably hooked up on something off the AOS member's vest and went off...who knows? If the story had unfolded differently with him coming out all guns blazing to regular police and had killed & maimed a couple then imagine the up-roar from that.
State of NZ justice is too leaning towards the crim rather than the victim & those that try to enforce the law and apprehend criminals.
