Weather is looking good, for now, Mt. Patriarch, or a play around the Sounds maybe a meet up with Underground and a look at the HUGE oil rig, if it is still there?

Given our penchant for swallowing time with tyre conversations & the like I think maybe a longer ride may be better when daylite savings starts.

    That looks so cool!

I met a BIG Pommie guy and his family about 5 years ago at French Pass, we were there for the New Year, he told me he ran the complete operation for the oil rig they brought into the sounds then, nice guy, took pity on me and gave us fish for the barbi

Shall we see what the weather is like on Sunday? I am keen for a ride however if it's pissing down I will be in the workshop.
I would like to go up Mt Patriarch but a trip down the sounds is also nice. Anywhere that doesn't involve riding fast across clay.

Mt Patriarch has less tar I think & good views & elevation.

I'll be cyclocrossing around the Appleby Domain on Sunday...

The map shows we're going to be riding on the riverbed too...
32mm tyres on river rocks... Ouch!
