Hi FF, I haven't been there but my understanding is that the eastern side is very boggy with deep holes (read lakes). So I guess it depends on what you ride there and the meat on your tyres. I'd probably look at it if I had an enduro bike but not with the 990 (at this stage). What d ya reckon Dino, sound like your picture of it?

MR 990 injected I'm Not sure if carbs can make up for my less than 6 foot tall and under 90kg frame (am working out profusely at gym to resolve this but fear its not enough to tackle wet clay on my bemouth with MT90 rear that is a must for my high mileage road use)

I've no idea. This is sad but the bike came partially gassed and I haven't emptied that tank yet.

Just done it on google earth and tired now (did a couple hundred ks on DR today as well, might report at ABSAR)

i thought id use dr650...with mt21 on the rear and 14/44 gearing its 'ok' in the rough n muddy stuff..but sounds like i might have to rustle up a traillie..and as fate would have it i just sold my sons crf230 due to lack of use (and to re-claim a few dad dollars). hey wade (gpsman) im guessin you'd ride the katoom? jealous
