I'm a happy man. though looking around I guess some of the sad folk who didn't like being told that Syria shouldn't be attacked, are pretty pissed, because they sure are crying up a storm trying to get a re-count.

Sorry fella's. This round is over and the good guys won again.
So, apart from the fact that you were completely wrong, you're happy?

In the meantime Syrians are still dying.
However the threat of force from the US means that they won't be dying from chemical weapons attacks.

Jeez Wayne - I went back and read all of your posts .. and yes, you are right ... I thought you wanted someone to step in and stop Al-Assad .. but you don't ...

So basically, you're saying Governments are lying to us and we should stay out of Syria .. but please notice that Governments are lying to us ...

I'm saying it's a complete clusterfuck and we should stay out of Syria ... (PS - I accept Governments lie to us - I just do not accept the consiracy theories surrounding 9/11)

21 pages of this thread in which you argue that we should do nothing, but be aware of Governmetns lying to us ???

What a complete waste of space ...

Small correction. I wasn't advocating that the world should 'do nothing' so much as 'shouldn't do the wrong thing'. As the wrong thing has been avoided thus far (which goes against historical trends), It is a good outcome. If 100,000 threads like this existed and promoted awareness all around the world (as mentioned before, I have duplicate threads in international forums) and that awareness led politicians to be aware that some of the the little people object (which on the international stage appears to have occurred) then as an exercise it is hardly a waste of space. Learning more about international events and their impact is hardly a waste of space. However, ignorant people are.

You make it sound like it was the Syrians that backed down.

It was America that backed down due to lack of international support.

As usual, the truth is somewhere in the middle.
Syria had never admitted to having these things in the first place, and now they're giving them up.
That's a backdown in my book.

The US backed down in the face of good sense from Russia.
The PM in the UK was humilated.
The French PM was pissed off.

So what was the "right thing" again? That trick where the nations of the world fold their arms, turn their backs and look disapproving until the combatants run out of bullets... is that the one?

I was going to say something half way intelligent, then I realised you wouldn't understand.

You'd have to raise your game to reach those dizzy heights... but I certainly struggle with half retarded.

I guess to people who "struggle with half retarded" 'half way intelligent' might well appear as "dizzy heights"

People's careless use of words can provide valuable insight into understanding the comprehension problems they have when they read the words of others. Carry on

I wonder if we will see a queue of frightened deniers lining up to shout out their No You's angrily (to mask their fear) or whether they will just close their eyes and slink off pretending they haven't seen it

Dissenters, the new face of terrorism

Again, the "tin foil hat brigade" were ridiculed since this exact scenario was put forward back in 2009/10 (and repeatedly since).

It seems we are living in times in which more conspiracy theories than ever are being proven to hold more truth than the govt & media put together. The age of the revelation of 'Conspiracy Fact' is upon us.

My god! What will all the nay sayers do?...... Oh that's right.. Denial.

Dissenters and 911 conspiracy supporters re-imaged as terrorists.

Well! we were told it was coming, now its official. This is how you snuff out truth and free speech in society.

If you actively support Al qeda (or any of the other militant muslim rebels) in Syria Where do you sit in respect to the first attitude indicator? Pffffffffffffffffft The openness of the US govt hypocrisy and lies is simply staggering (& the UK is nipping at their heels). It can't be long before they completely disconnect from the sheep and herd them all to the work camps.

BTW 911 was a false flag attack perpetrated by the shadow govt and its lacky spy agencies in order to hide Trillions of dollars of unaccounted taxpayer dollars stolen by the MIC and to provide an igniter to gain the support of US citizens in a drive to overthrow middle east regimes who have/had refused to accept U$ as payment for oil.
