    Skully Helmet

The Skully P1 motorcycle helmet's heads-up display and integrated tech is far from ready, but it holds the promise to revolutionize both biker lids and consumer-grade heads-up displays.
"It's like being surrounded by ninjas," said Weller. "You know one of them is going to attack you, but you don't know which one. Imagine you can keep your eyes on them right in your periphery while looking forward."
Right there, that's safety gold. To be able to see what's around you without taking your eyes off of the road in front of you is an incredible boon to bikers.

Will it tell me my reaction time at the drags?
Just another thing to help us all end up under the bottom of a truck

The constant rear vision window just below your resting view point to me could be the biggest asset in my lifetime.

That alone would justify the price tag.

I wonder how heavy they are. Even the difference between 1350gms for my current helmet and 1475 for my old helmet is enough to be the difference between a sore neck and not. Especially after a half days riding or an emergency braking practice session.

and you forget that it's then possible to remove rear mirrors, gaining maybe 2-3 kmh at full throttle...

no, seriously, that's really the only good reason to buy it.
the only thing, i can't understand why everybody is so horny about the "wireless" thing...

and not for that reason (well, mainly not), but just because a self contained/battery operated/wireless stuff is going to be heavy, messy, and the last battery to care about.

what's the problem with a stupid usb cable to connect when you sit on the bike?
