No they aren't, the GN is faster, has more HP and handles better

Kickaha and him should get together, Kicka likes the Clocks.

Seeing as we are of subject anyone got a pic of Blackadder (XR1000) i googled it and only found a road one, claimed to be the only one Ken did, the other supposedly was never used which was crap.

If that is Blackadder, it's had a restoration...

Pretty much std XR1000 motor, last time i saw it, the iron barrels were either painted silver or metalsprayed alloy. Never alloy barrels to my knowledge. All HD's of that era have a dry clutch Husa, under the cover...

Ken did at least 3 frames - blackadder 1 - up a tree at Ruapuna, blackadder 2 - still with lindsay i think - and the italian from CR & S who got a Britten ordered one too.

I think this one is the CRS one but the Blub tried to call it Lucifer's Hammer and said it was "commissioned" by CHCH motorcycles.
Pretty sure it had Cylinders in Alloy Made in NZ all the sportster based stuff i thought were all Wet around then to keep the chain lubed......
i have a write up somewhere.............

Spelling? If it was for spelling and there was a black bling thing you'd have got it.

Yeah, I think wet clutch. Not many dry Sportys . Lucifer's Hammer was a HD road race bike. Springsteen rode it. I don't remember if he won Daytona on it. (Battle of the twins)

Of course there could be 2 Lucifers.

I take that back. My '68 Sportster had a gasket + cover to keep the clutch plates dry. The chain still ran in oil (along with the trans.

This set up tended to leak so you would leave the cover off, put in oil compatible plates and a guy named Robert would be closely related.

The blurb was wrong. Funny enough, from memory there actually was a Lucifer's Hammer 2. Might have been in a Buell frame though

I am not a Harley guy but the XLCR and the XR1000 and XR750's And KR750's VR1000 were always pretty cool and Unharley like.

I found the Blurb on Blackadder i will scan it. I do have another better pic somewhere..........

It ran something like 149mph through the flying mile, John White's Trident was about 3-4 mph faster about 153 mph
