You certainly have to do the calculations based on the tarriffs shown on the YouShop site to assess whether it's worth it for the value of your product. And yes, having the product sent to their warehouse in Portland first obviously adds a few more days but that's never bothered me as I haven't been that desperate to get the order. As others have mentioned, YouShop is especially good for products which suppliers won't ship direct to NZ. As well as minimum international shipping charges by some suppliers, who they use also seems to have a significant cost difference as I was absolutely skinned earlier this year when I had a motorcycle jacket shipped over. The supplier used Fedex and whether it was the Fedex cost component or whether the supplier screwed me for handling and packing charges on top of freight, I don't know.
