I have to admit I have washed my winscreen from time to time while I have been tail gated by a rider .

It's not a nice thing to do but my car has much better brakes than any bike.

Bit late to this party...but if I'm catching the window washer spray from the car in front I'd be reconsidering my need to tailgate

I've had my windscreen (in the car) washed by the car in front while maintaining more than a 2 second gap.

Wasn't even that close to him... But apparently is my fault, I should have brought a towel on my ride!

Don't worry about Crasher mate,he's about as welcoming on KB as herpes.
In fact if you meet him in person he'll more than likely greet you with a cheery smile and a hot coffee.

I think no one wants to admit there is something a cage driver can do to you that you can do nothing about... well without risking a jail term so everyone pretends it doesn't happen lol... It don't bother me if its a genuine wash, but those tuggers who hate bikes and do it as a joke when your stuck behind them on a no passing stretch... I still laugh and think how sad must their life be that they need to do that for kicks...

And just to spite you....I am going to reply to this thread.

A little water doesn't hurt and it is better that cage in front of you has a clean windscreen than not. If you get a big dose....you are too close. If it's yellow.....then you have a right to be angry. The time spent worrying about something trivial is time not paying attention to the shit that you should be.

Take it as a lesson learned, if the old bastards on here who have been riding since bikes were powered by steam think you should be paying more attention to the road or your riding, it is advice possibly well heeded.
