Here’s the trailer:
The aerial footage was from a remote-controlled 4-bladed helicopter toting a GoPro underneath.
Good stuff....Clever idea using the helicopter/Drone...
At the beginning the birds were attacking it...Must have been close to their territory..
I wonder if the drone was armed with Hellfire missiles...![]()
Really enjoyed that!
Look forward to the movie![]()

Cool, few familiar spots there.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........
I've seen the text list of places they went and they covered some great tracks. There will be a downloadable GPS file of the DVD route on the new website but this won't be available till the end of this month.
If you want to see the route right away Phil has put a map on the DVD. The DVD is only $22 so a great price. I have not seen it as yet, mine is still being shipped, looking forward to it.
Cheers
I have watched it, and I reckon that there's at least one section of the ride (see if you can pick it) that you won't have ridden. I don't know if that's included in the GPS files, though, as it was on private land by permission.
Also has footage of Hard Core Postie Bikes, Tony Kirby memorial ride, and a (slightly too long) segment of Phil in an aerobatic plane.
Phil has just completed his second trip, and has released this promotional video:

Again, access was arranged for a couple of normally closed private tracks, but there are some easily recognisable ones, too. The helicopter in the video was delivering a new lock to the Black Forest gate when they found the combination lock vandalised and couldn't get out.
The DVD will be on sale once editing is completed.
Stage 3 coming to a track near you, soon...
Wow, that looks so much fun. I don't think my little road bike would do that, though, so will have to be content with watching the DVDs for now.

Great video clip, I think we need a group hug after watching the drowned 690 bit though![]()
....wherezz that track go
Yes, it was a bit of a mission to rescue the 690 - just before the video starts, the water's depth was up to the mirrors. Only a minor riding error (choosing to cross downstream with the current was correct, but just not quite enough with the current) but it ended happily, as once the water was cleared from everywhere it shouldn't have been it fired right up, and the engine/gearbox oil had no contamination. We all crossed without harm after starting a further 20m upstream and aiming for the original exit point.
the lock was damage when we went through on the 18th, after ringing black forest to confirm that 6000 was the combo so we use an old gate to help get six bikes over, no helicopter for us or a refund
Phil and Coxy returned to NZ from Oz last night, and left CHC this morning on their third trip, this time heading north-ish.
No doubt there'll be a promo on YouTube again, and I'll post it up when it's done.
Stage 4 will be in early March, then the two DRs are being freighted back to Australia.
