    riding with mates.

hi,glad youve got the ridding bug,ive been thrashing em & crashing em for a while now,,ive been riding two decades on and off solo, why it suited me, i speed and take chances, wheelie ,wheelspin away from lights and tipical anti social behaviour, getting a bit more sensible now however and practicing riding skills from a kieth code book ''soft science'' heavens forbid i become faster.. but also smarter and more aware of my ability and limitations which is what matters when riding. as recent as last year i started ridding with ridders frm a local dealership which is cool and would suit you because it was well planed which is key, fast bikes were there fast bikes did what they do, gapped it ,i was like a race horse with the the riegns pulled up ,i didnt give chase but rode with the core group consisting of slower paced riders, beginners and sightseers, its a new experience and cool, i reflect back to 1986 when both my younger brothers and five boys from the hood got motorcycles, all beginners no experience between them resulting in two group crashes which could have been avoided had they have had a experience rider shared some basic group riding skills or they sourced help.it was because of there experience in part ive ridden solo,my bikes are both monoseats however enjoying comraderee of riding in group so could be looking for a bi posta seat unit soon enough ! the only sound advice i can offer you is find riders who plan rides like i found and youll only have good experiences,SAFE JOURNEY frm 1up5dwn

You've been riding a while now haven't you? I remember riding down with you from Auckland, we fueled up at Bombay then went through a checkpoint at the on-ramp haha. That was such an early morning, sooo cold! AND the whole time I thought L-platers were supposed to stick to 70 so I was a bit nervous about going much above that with you in tail haha. Little did I know they changed the damn law

Got to some car park that looked over the water, stayed there for all of 5 minutes then when they took off I'm pretty sure they hit the concrete retaining wall? Anyway I ended up riding all the way home pretty much alone from Muriwai. Took the sign to Albany thinking there'd be street lights to aid my unexperienced self... um no... seemed like the roads were super twisty and never ended! Finally got to Albany... phew... I should have turned around when they started getting their knee down on corners and at least a couple of times crossed onto the opposite side of the road to take what I think was racing lines? (what do I know). But should have known when they didn't really wait for me... oh well a rides a ride eh but won't do that again.. Oh just to clarify I'm not being ungrateful, I'm just more like... wtf?

Well from your username you seem to be a lady so I guess the boys were just trying you impress ya as we do In all seriousness they should of looked after you as you were new to riding. Beside that I hope you get a better experience next time when your riding in a group. Cheerio
