Would this be a day trip or a camp? There are huts there too right?

Haven't seen much chat re tomorrow, but my plan is to head up from the peg at 7 and start on the Moles side up to the Severn bridge cross over through Sedgemere and check out Edwards and Mailings on the way back down the Rainbow. And prolly do Shosh's route back to town if still going strong..
Any takers ? or other plans afoot ?
See you tomorrow.

that was great but did nothing for my cabin fever![]()
....wherezz that track go
Well I'm back in Hanmer now after an awesome day. It seems all the plans I made I did backwards: did Shoshi's back roads to Hanmer first thing - that was awesome, thanks for the suggestion and for putting the route together. Then meet up with a couple of pommie riders and went with them into the Rainbow first and that was awesome. I waved them goodbye at Edwards and had a nosey in there, that was awesomer ! Carried on to Mailings where they were just coming out, so I went for a sifty up there - even more awesomer! It was sometime in there that I remembered I hadn't filled up at Hanmer (oops!), so it was was time for some soft hands if I wanted to get out of the Molesworth!
After Mailings is a photo at lake Tenyson and then over Island saddle and on to the Severn Rd turnoff. It's a real pleasant track through there and fairly easy going. Got on to the Molesworth rd and mozied out to Jollies pass still nursing the fuel. At the top Jollies I took a wrong turn and ended up descending a VERY steep service track. At the bottom I was able to let myself out a locked gate which was very lucky cos by now I had neither the fuel nor the traction to climb out if wanted!
So 360km, 7:40hrs riding, 22l fuel, a stout and a steak and mushroom deep dish pie and we are a tired and happy bunny - pretty tempted to flag the ride home and nip over to the pools!

You might have seen my u-turn marks at the top of that if you were looking closely. I had a nose up and down some of those tracks last week but I was to wuss to head down there at the time(if it's the hill I'm thinking of) Good effort!
Bowl over to the pools and go home via the Molesworth tomorrow![]()
Sounds like the track ! I thought it was a track to lookout at the top over hill but it just got better and better ( and less reversible :O )!

I did take heaps of pics on my garmin but due to fault they're all naff ! Out of focus and shutter delayed so lots of fuzzy pictures of knees and dash mounts - that kind of thing. Feeling pretty pissy about it but we'll to identify it before Dusty...
Is anyone still keen on this weekend?
How about Saturday 9am meeting at the Peg sound to everyone, since the days are getting shorter?
