Hey all, a mate of mine and I ride around a lot tooge'r and We're keen to tag along for a group ride if there's still a meet up tonight?![]()
Our bikes are a cafe-custom GB400 and a little katana 250 normally it's just us two but would like to try the group thing...
Hey Jester9018. With this weather there are bound to be a few turn up (not me this time, the clutch plate is getting put in tomorrow).
Group rides are a lot of fun, as well as the talking rubbish at the pub afterwards.
This ride generally has reasonably quick riders. Although the legal limit isn't normally exceeded, there are not many corners they slow down for either. That said, it's nicely organised that no-one gets left behind at intersections etc. You will be made welcome!
Another ride I enjoy is the NASS ride on Wednesday nights. This short ride is aimed more at smaller bikes and/or learners (show me a rider who isn't learning!), then ends at a carpark to learn and practice riding skills. Then of course to the pub.
I'd rather be sorry for something I've done, than for something I didn't do.
Awesome!!! Looking forward to tonight then! I'm sure I'll be able to keep up in the twisties hahah
So when are who gonna be at the Z? We'll probably be sitting in the macca's round 7.30-ish (earlier if needed![]()
I forgot to post earlier, but popped over to the z, no one came out to play! Oh well, try again next week. Bloomin good job though bloody windy mind.
Yeah the racing version of what my bike was inspired from are lighter and lower cc rating for both dirt and race track. Even though the bike geometry is similar to those, mine is specifically design for road and tarmac race track riding only. Its to heavy (190kg) and to powerful to race actual supermoto events.
When it comes to a shower or two of rain on NZ roads however, the playing field is levelled so no matter what bike you are on, Good tyres, suspension setup and rider skill are the main factors for keeping upright on two wheels.
