When I started there were only libraries etc no internet, it was slow and time consuming and most of the information was unbelievable!
It can be a compelling subject and difficult to substantiate truth from fiction but like any interesting subject, hard to put aside.

A) Because they especially wanted him to make limited progress in his projected intention or he wouldn't have got the money.
