Unless it's blind luck ships don't stand a chance of tripping over it - you can loose site of an object thrown overboard in a matter of seconds if you take your eye of it.

With no final semi accurate fix finding its a complete crap shoot.
    I hear ya.
BUT...... as I stated above, submarines can hear "everything"..... You cannot tell me that they didn't hear a hunk of metal weighing over 200 tonnes hitting the water surface at over 200 mph?? WTF?? They CAN hear that stuff.... they haven't been up front about it either....

They have never mentioned 'Hearing' anything within the flight time of the aircraft... they would have checked their sonar/radar etc for impact 'noise' for sure. They have been very quiet about the whole saga.

...and now we have a different last radio signoff from the pilot.... I mean, come on, how can you have a different transcript from a recording??? FFS... they keep feeding us bullshit.

If I had family members on that plane, I'd be pretty fucked off by now...........
Is it still beastiality if ya fuck a frozen chicken??

I dont know where the submarines were when it happened or what they were up to at the time. It must be possible for them to hear a plane crash into the water if they were listening for it.

Seems crazy that they screwed up the release of the final words from the plane. Complete torture for the relatives, I hope the passengers were unconcious or already dead when it ditched. I dont really hold with the governemnt conspiracy theories can see how one or two crazy people might be behind it.

Malaysian airlines havent handled this well, would be amazing if they survive this - check out their share price drop. Can see them heading the same way as Pan Am and TWA, maybe that was the plan - revenge?

Not surprising... they are semi-government owned and so filled with incompetent unqualified cronies; most large Malaysian companies are. None expect to face disasters and will always look to the government to bail them out.

The oversight is understandable. A sperm whale with bad wind sounds very similar

Yep every nuke sub in the Indian Ocean would have heard if that plane hit the water, not only the impact but the unique signature of tearing and cracking aluminium. And not only would they have heard it but as they record everything any new sound would be played back, analysed and logged.

The whole BS about 'we found it' is the classic misdirection common when a con job is going down, they think everyone will go ok and forget about it. But they underestimated the level of interest and voyuerisim around plane crashes, people want to see real wreckage before its over.

There has not been one single mention of Diego in news, surely the USA wouldn't miss a good publicity coup by running a search mission from such an ideal location...

I see the latest conspiracy involves an IBM engineer sending a black photo with the iphone5 EXIF data showing location at Diego...

    Attention! Attention! ***BREAKING NEWS***
Click here! Click here! To increase views.
Here are summary points the media abuse:

The plane flew high, the plane flew low.
The captain went where nobody knows
The media is left to presuppose

The plane flew to the left, and then to the right
It vanished out of everyone’s sight
    Lithium batteries explode like dynamite.

The plane flew low, then flew high
It decompressed and the passengers died.
Conspiracies soar that the government lied!

It flew over land and flew over ocean
It turned and turned in mysterious motion
“Abducted by aliens” has become a cult devotion

It could’ve gone south, then gone to the north
Or west and east and back and forth
Why aren’t Officials showing some remorse?

Malaysia still doesn’t know what to do
So the FBI has sent in its crew
Australia says the plane’s in the ocean blue

The Chinese scream, worrying time and a half
21 days have gone by, radar gaffe.
That what happens with an incompetent staff.

A friend of the pilot has spent days trying
Alerting police he was in “no state to be flying”
One more rumor Malaysia is denying

Some say their loved ones cell phones ring
Satellite data reveals a ping ping ping
Yet 3 weeks later many are left wondering

Why no hard evidence, and in odd context
Families of the victims received a late night text
“All lives are lost”, left many perplexed

A resolution that many couldn’t accept.
And one that media is forced to reject
Or else their ratings would be wrecked!

***THIS JUST IN*** ***THIS JUST IN***
300 debris pieces in the ocean
“One more story for media to spin!”

Another unconvincing theory is from Jim Stone
Who claims Philip Wood sent a text on his phone
After landing at Diego Garcia in a WIFI free zone

    While ratings soar, journalism dies
Entertainment wins, despite all the cries
Of loved ones left to endure all the lies.

“Breaking News” is news not worthwhile
Just adding to the already unending media bile
To see whose journalism can be the most vile.

Hmmmm...... The only proof of the Indian Ocean theory came from the Inmarsat satellite providers........ I wonder if they were paid off to pedal a diversion???
If busted, they could always change their story like Malaysian airlines have.... and say their technology was inaccurate....

What extent of a follow up was there to the claims from the residents of the Maldives, that they saw a jet airliner flying low over them at 6ish in the morning..... heading of all places South.........

Surely they will eventually find wreckage in the drink, but it does make for great conspiracy theories.....

Errr no. If by hear you mean sound - you really need to listen to the ocean. It's not a quiet place. You are good for about 20km. Then the "noise" is too much. No to mention that a majority of the sound of something hitting the water actually travels through air, or at best through the water surface. This is why Tesla wanted to use surface waves as a communication medium.

Sound IN water would have be caused by something IN the water (i.e. plane exploding after it had submerged)......in a plane crash this happens on the surface.

Now if you are talking about Sonar - you would need a ping to hit the plane. Also difficult.

If your talking about british new wave sonar (supposedly the best) - HMS Astute was no where near unfortunately. And its "configuration" is unique unfortunately. Not even the USS New Mexico is as good.

So not saying its impossible........just very, highly implausible. More likely to find out exactly where the plane was in the air than where it crashed into the water.
