I'll be there, rain or shine, light or dark.
I'd rather be sorry for something I've done, than for something I didn't do.

I'll come along. I'll be riding not sniffing though.

I thought you were one of the 'ard lot, who rode throughout last winter.

What's the point in living if you don't feel alive?

Toying with ones mortality shouldn't be this much fun.

Yes sir, but not so fun without all-weather gear

I've noticed the line taken through corners on the open road can be focused on a little for a few of us.
Admittedly it's harder in the dark, and staying in the middle of your lane throughout the corner may appear safest. I'd suggest you could still at least utilise the width of the car tyre tracks.

I'd recommend working on this skill, even on the corners that aren't taken quickly, in order to cement the good habit.
Personally I spent several years intentionally taking a bad corner line, in order to make it more "interesting", and now I'm finding it hard to consistently take a good line.

Attached is a picture of 3 different cornering lines. The one to practice for road riding is the green one. Stay wide on the corner (not off the shoulder or into the gravel! - perhaps the outside wheeltrack), until you see the corner opening up (the vanishing point starts moving away), then drop into your turn so you end up in the inside wheeltrack.

Umm I don't think anyone hooned past me. But I did let 1 guy overtake me. Didn't enjoy going past that truck.

Yeah don't like trucks. They won't even notice when you go under the tyre.
