As is well known I'm a huge street scrambler fanboy.... I just love mine to bits...

Back in the day we had a shed full of proper off roaders including my Norton engined beast. It was a 500cc Dominator engine in an Aerial Huntmaster frame, Triumph gearbox, Norton long roadholders with a 21” rim up front and a James gas tank.. (phoar) Open primary, straight pipes and a shit load of FUN....

It certainly put the basic back into basic biking even by 60's standards...

p.s my nipples are nowhere near my waist!

I am 5ft 4 with a 28 inch inseam in riding boots. I have moobs but due to a lot of hard work over the past year or so they have gone from a B cup to an A cup.

I can't find the exact one but here is another.
That was done by Denny Berg of Cobra for Honda USA to demonstrate what could be done with their VT750 platform. The S not the shaft drive C version.

You can pick one up ex-demo for like $11k. Great basis for a custom bike I reckon.

Gwan you know you want to.

All you need to do is:

re-lace the wheels to say 18 and 19 inch (or, get one of those Grimeca 4LS drum brakes then do the wheels)

    longer shocks.

    new subframe.

    off roady tyres.

    investigate the gearing.

tank and sidecovers (I always like the oval number boards look of a 70's MX'er.

    handlebars and controls.

    go ride.

Shouldnt cost more than say $25k all in.

edit: here's the other one he did around the same time. oooh errr missus: http://www.cycleworld.com/2011/01/27...ecial-feature/

    I fancied one of these.

They did them with knobbly tyres, too.
Sadly, I think the company went bust.

me too. plus fairly achievable I reckon.

I am not sorry I sold my Scrambler, but I would like another bike with the same capability.
