    KTM 1190 share your experiences

    Gidday All,
Having formerly had a 990 as my bike I am keen to hear from you all who now own an 1190. Standard model, or otherwise.
Lots of info on adviser but keen to hear thoughts from people who actually own them or have ridden them here in NZ.
    Cheers Dion

Have got standard 1190.Had a 990. in just about every way a better bike. mainly the fueling is much improved ,990 very touchy.
Brakes gearbox and clutch better Fairing better.Much better road bike almost as good off road 19" front wheel not as good off road but get the R if doing plenty of off road.Improved fueling is great of road.Power is great and really controllable. Only criticism for some reason the seat is very average maybe too soft , shape is good. Numb butt after 160km.Mainly bought it over the R because of the electronic suspension.Handy.

Thanks for that. I loved my 990. I did a short demo on the standard 1190 with 19 inch front tyre. But need a longer ride. If I decide to get a 1190 I am not sure whether to get model or the R model. Have to weigh it up!
