Very interesting air filter test for trail bikes

This is KDX200 based but interesting for any offroad bike. Some filters dont do so well.

Good read as an xtra I use spray on oil to coat the inside of the airbox traps dust before it gets to the filter

I do think I over oil mine as it always drips. I will get one of those cover things so i can clean the box properly as well. But I like your idea.

I run without the cover on my air box, common thing on KDXs. I have though of putting some airclear pad over it just to pick up the worst. May gag it to much though. Kinda like a pre filter.

The dripping could just be the oil you use. I tried castrols oil once easy to get hold of but useless all just dripped off the bottom. Tend to look for oil that is nice a tacky once it has been applied for a short time.
