But Kim Dot Com's act makes everything else pale into insignificance. For $3 million he gets a seat in Parliament via Hone Harawira plus maybe a few more seats too. If the stars align he will have enough influence to change the law to avoid extradition.

That is how government has been formed in the UK for at least 3 decades. We've likely all noticed, but if you have money you must be successful, therefore eminently more qualified to make better decisions than those who don't have money.
