Too expensive to compete directly with Sportsters and the dealer was who again?
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

Sportster 1200 is ~$18500 + ORC and with Harley tax (i.e. each new model incrementally more expensive than lastyears with no or minimal changes to the motorcycle) I suggest it is pretty much competitive with H-D pricing. Plus a way better package and numbers.

they were nice when I phoned them.

Depends which Sportster. There's plenty going for less than that new, but I know what you mean. I take it they're not in Wellington then?

Cyclespot are in Auckland, they apparently have a row of buildings in the same street housing different bike franchises: Victory/Indian, Honda, KTM, BMW, Ducati etc. Since Cyclespot are the only Indian dealer apparently, they should be able to approve another major dealer with whom they have links, formal or otherwise, in other towns.

Once you're over the first service it shouldn't be a big deal. Unless they only want to sell the things in Auckland they'll have to arrange something.

My man on the spot tells me that five people have paid deposits on the Scout so far.

I've revisited it. Did the old 360 tour.

I'm dumping the bars for drag bars. Making my own exhaust system. Black seat I think. Maybe bob the rear guard. And drill lots of holes in the belt cover.

I feel better knowing I can change shit.

I still want hot-rod front brakes.

    Oh I need a loan too ........

There will be one in Bris-vegas in early Sept is the rumour. I'm in on the gag for another celebrity ride when it lobs.

I was told there are six sold this morning. Ten coming in Nov, so four still available, then no more till Feb.

They can guarantee your pick of colour for this first lot.

$17,995 in Aussie I see. Should be that here.

    Ignore currency conversion.

the wall of death Indian made Cycle World and Bike Exif this week.

my only concern is the forward pegs and my tiny little legs. It would be embarrassing going from a bike I am on tippy toes on, to a bike I can flat foot but can'r reach the pegs......

I've already told them no: will revisit next year when I was going to look at bikes anyway: the timing is atrocious because all of my money is tied up in a property deal at present.
