Talk about rose tinted spectacles. It's reliable "in spite of" not "because of" renewable energy. The whole grid is buckling at the knees because of renewable energy and it's staggeringly expensive energy to boot. It's insane.

Still... if you want to destroy your economy...

Renewable energy is a tough one for someone (like me) who worked in that space. I think it needs to exist and be a substantial contributor. The same reason I think we need multiple sources of anything.

I am still scratching my head on why we don't have a thorium test reactor in NZ..........we seemed to have cut our selves off the whole Nuclear debate thing purely because we don't understand (or we suck too much American cock when it comes to knowledge on the matter).
Reactor Online. Sensors Online. Weapons Online. All Systems Nominal.

Two held in Malaysia for 'stealing from MH370 victims'... this sort of shit wouldn't happen under an R.B.E. Actually, there'd be no bank tellers.

Michael Brown shooting: Governor deploys National Guard... I wondered how long that would take. From the reports I've read over the last few days, a little information would have gone a long way in preventing the escalation.

It's no secret that wind power slaughters tens of thousands of birds every year... often, because of the sites location, the big raptors that sit at the top of the avian food chain.

Now it's been revealed that some of the solar power plants that use computer controlled mirrors to focus the suns rays do an even more spectacular job. Igniting the birds mid flight and leaving a smoking streamer to plunge to the earth.
