Na its not called "what track", and I can't remember its name but its friggen good. Sorta like a cross between Big River and tha lamamoors. couple good hills and some good slippery fun on the top. Wished I had better tyres and a lighter bike, but still great. We will have to have a looksee again one day.

Umopom says it links up with Flora carpark, but only accessible on one of them engineless bikes that some folk like.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

This is where we went (See Attached PDF). There is a big steel gate at the end of the 4x4 track just before Barron Flat.

    Don't believe everything you see.....
There is a big loop at the end from where the gate is, least there was last time I was there
I've ridden through a couple of times from Flora carpark on a mountain bike, it's a good ride if your into that sort of thing.
Maybe I should go have a look and check on whether the loop is still there

I'd rise to that comment but instead I'll just direct you to Sharlands carpark where every weekend knuckle dragging, V drinking, sideway cap wearing, lowered L200 driving, grinder following dirt bike riders congregate & grunt & drool over their stickered up POSs doing burnouts on the road.

I like my morals lifted up high & firmly held in place by my sleek lycra knickerbockers thank you.

There are two big fuckoff gates with cameras their now. Umopom hadn't seen them before.

I wanna spend a bit of time up their exploring.

I know someone who knows someone who has land up there I'll make some enquiries..... It's a really good ride with some nice views down into the Takaka river. Be a shame if it's been locked up and can only be accessed on one of those old fashioned treadlys
I can't find the vid I had of a trip in there

Edit... see post #4835 this thread...

I blame the fact we're not allowed to enforce selective breeding programmes

    Have a look at http://maps.doc.govt.nz/

It looks to me that the gates have been erected where DOC land ends. I guess is that it's private forestry land or by someone that really wanted to keep people out.
