Did you read the wiki? It supports my link and demolishes your nonsense.

And we did really fucking badly under subsistence agriculture. You'd be dead in a fortnight if you tried it.

I think they did business with Nature. I keep hearing about this, nature stuff... sounds amazing and should be given some serious consideration. Perhaps someone should study it some day, it might turn out t be useful.

Oh wait! Now I get it. We're dealing with middle aged urbanistas dreaming of returning to the land. So where I see sharecropping as a life of unremitting toil, hardship and misery, you just see yourself sitting on your porch in a honey coloured evening, chillin after a days rewarding manual labour.

    Man this could be you!

"Outgoing UN rights chief rebukes UN Security Council
Navi Pilay, the outgoing UN rights chief, has rebuked the UN Security Council for failing to stop intolerable human suffering and serious breaches of global peace and security and accused it of putting short-term geopolitical concerns and narrow national interests first. She said crises in Syria, Afghanistan, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Iraq, Libya, Mali, Gaza Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan and Ukraine are all examples of the international community’s failure to prevent conflict. She suggested the UN should come up with a new response to rights violations, such as rapid, flexible human rights monitoring missions. She also recommended introducing a UN Arms Trade Treaty to try and regulate the $85 billion a year industry and keep weapons out of the hands of rights abusers and criminals."

Not shit, ya don't say, ya coulda fooled me, how's yer millennium development goals goin?

Bank of America agrees to record $17bn settlement over mortgage fraud... fraud committed, no one in jail, could it be that bankers can't be jailed because they print money? What was it that Mayer Amschel Bauer said.......

‘the eurozone economy is flatlining, the African banks look suspect, and the damned if do or don’t list reads America, Russia, Germany, Eurozone and China. So convinced are the movers and shakers that there is zero real prospect of economic recovery, they’ve first poured money into gold, then smelt the fix and moved onto property. Now even the alternative of effectively paying to lend money to the German and American governments looks better than hanging around too much longer in the most overpriced stock market in human history.’
.......Looked at from this angle, I really don’t see how a stock market crash can now be more than six weeks away.

not only did I read it , but I found out WHO wrote it ...

You have used an article supporting Monsanto , written by a group who "claim" to be independent , in fact on the international food policys web site , they proudly say how independent they are

Funded, by ....Monsanto and every other big agi business

Kinda like the Labour party writing a press release for the national party ......

As for subsistance farming , and a big mess .....Um.... No I wouldnt be dead in a fortnight , as even my my little 5x10 m plot produces enough for my family ...Have so much in fact I swap with the neighbours ...

One wonders how I can get soooo much from such a small space .......I even have enough to make wine and Potieen .... It even supports fish ......

I was told that you could grow Lemons here in Tokyo ....well the tree obviously didnt listen ,

One wonders how ....This nature stuff seems to work .....

So to tidy up the 2 points, for thousands and thousands of years , we did really badly food wise and since Mr Tull and his new fangled invention we have been doing really well........

    I call bullshyt

Years ago there was a TV or radio programe in Australia, where some smelly hippies and a main stream famer were gives some land and challenged to grow cotton

the hippies lost, the main stream farmer produced more and made more of a profit .....

    No problems here ......except

it was a monoculture, The Hippies failed or werent allowed to explore the other 7 revenue streams that could have been grow as well as the cotton.....

So next time ya down ya big lettuce patch and ya see a bee or healthy insect life , , then ya can say Im wrong ,
BUT if ya dont see a bee or healty insect life ......Im right and in this case ....I would like to be wrong

    Sadly ,,,,,,,Im probably not
