What are you racer types going to use for the lower fairing catch tanks?
Is anyone making fibreglass belly pan catch tanks?

In Aussie the P6 class (pre'90s) require belly pan catch tray. I was going to fit one just in case they spit the dummy at Phillip Island in January. Wiring calliper bolts, shark fins, etc. has been compulsory at PI for years.

Give Glen at justfairings a call, When I proposed the rulechange I asked him to deal with them all as I didn't want it to be seen as a conflict of interest, It was originally intended to be a copy of the MA rule, But the board thought it would make it too hard for people to enter the sport, Whats been installed is a complete dogs breakfast and will create problems for officials and organisers alike.

Well,

According to the safety commissioner, That would require drilling into the frame and would create a weakened area, Not sure which planet that person lives, But it works everywhere else in the world and here was me thinking the old "Kiwi can do" attitude was still alive.

Are they talking about something else other than a lower fairing capable of holding the required amount of fluid?

Yea,

Its not in the new rule as the handwringers didn'tlike the look of it, But everywhere else in the world its either an enclosed bellypan OR a suitable catchtray, Be simple enough to mount without drilling into the frame, Theres plenty of enginecase bolts that could be utilised for bracketing, Quite honestly I don't see the point in preventing the later model machinery from dropping oil and yet leaving the older and more likely models free of ANY containment, Fucked if I know, I must be missing something that the EXPERTS have seen

Actually, By chance Glen rang me on Monday and your bike came up in the discussion, He was of the opinion Sloan was obtaining fairings for your bike from elsewhere, But he does have moulds for your model, Not sure about the bellypan though

Hi Pete, i was over at the last "Island Classic", got pulled up for Radiator Cap and Water Pump Drain Plug not wired, in P6, just some info for you.
