Thanks for that, we'll have a browse.

I usually shop at Turners Auctions, good for getting 3 to 4 year old ex-lease vehicles at a fraction of their retail value. I bought my 2006 BF Falcon in 2010 for $8K, retail value $14-$15K. You've just got to be prepared to wait for the right vehicle on the right day - the Falcon took almost a year of watching and waiting.

Yip, I use Turners too for the very same reason. I have found that it pays to take out the optional warrantee

If you ain't fussy there's some gems out there.

CB (Mrs SD) got an '88 Mazda 626 GLX (the Ghia equivalent), one orginal owner,(lil' old ladys, no dead) with 71,000km and like a new pin.
    $2,300.

    Cost l.o.l $24,000 back in '88!

    Sorry to hear that Ken!

I'm in a similar position myself, mrs can't/won't learn the manual, so will need to sell the 600. Bloody annoying.

How hard can it be. The next time you're 20Km from home:

"Uh... hu... I think I'm going to ...... My vision has gone blurry..... I feel so ill.... You have to drive to save us all from a painful death... I know you can find the inner strength to save us.... I don't want to die....."

Problem solved. No need to thank me

Hope she is going down to the cop shop to hand her licence in? "I'm too stupid to drive a proper vehicle, so shouldn't be on the road"?

Couple of landcrabs outside one of our local wreckers, looks like they have been sitting under some trees or in a barn. Looks like they have all the bits too. Will have to try and get some pics today, bit of a dodgy place to stop 40+ tons of Volvo though.
