That would be the tip over switch, factory fitting in the two wheeler that stops the pump should it end upside down. It ought to be glued /siliconed up inside (as in a sidecar the forces acting upon it are different).

Strange that the quick connect has crapped out, you know it needs the connection in to flow? Not that it's an issue now that it's no longer in place.

I would imagine the tip over sensor NOT SYLICONED UP as you suggest to be useless on a Chair from my experience on one with all the motion they have that bikes do not have

Shut up Shaun, it needs to be stopped from swinging as the centripetal force acting upon a sidecar (as it does not lean over) makes the switch cut the power to the fuel pump.
If you actually read what I posted, I had said IT OUGHT TO BE GLUED UP, so your post was, as usual, totally unnecessary.

It isn't the tip over switch, that's already been checked

Quick connect was plugged in when Kai tested the flow, he took the hose off somewhere downstream of it

That one appears to have enough tank capacity to do a complete NZ season....And while it looks good, leaving the frame bare probably means polishing it weekly to stay in front of the rust.
And don't tell me it's clear coated as I can point to a couple of frames here which are visibly rusting under the clear....

The reason for bare steel is because it has to be like that for inspection. You're not allowed a painted frame.
