Good pads, decent brake fluid and replace it each season as a minimum, and so long as a torque arm doesn't break or something you'll be sweet

My post above alludes to other classes having gear failure too, rather than regular maintenance.
I put in all new pads, and fluids and even caliper and master cylinder seals.... so pretty much everything. Still had gear failure like the best classes in the world...

Is your Tourette's playing up?

If you do regular maintainence the chances of a falure reduce considerably, for many people brakes aren't something that gets looked at until they need to change pads or there's a problem
