I'll certainly be looking for ABS on my next sports bike. From what I've read in the MCN reviews (are they trustworthy?) the new breed of ABS as found in the CBR1000RR, S1000RR, 1199 and RSV4 are all very good an unobtrusive in normal riding.

lol thats probably because in normal riding it isnt needed - just when going like a bat out of hell and you try to outbrake yourself into a corner at the track youll feel it . . .
only three litre bikes that dont come with it now isnt there/ the RC8, the gixxer 1k and cant remember the other
When you are talking about road riding ABS is a good idea (are you really going to notice the buggerall weight increase?). ABS will help with those emergency stops in less than perfect conditions when you aren't paying as much attention as you should be (if you were then you wouldn't be needing to perform an emergency stop).
Seems to have been pretty darn successful in cars over the last 20 years.
Plus I would guess that not many riders can make full use of their brakes on a regular basis to make ABS a hindrance. People had the same fears on cars when ABS was first fitted to them, then they adjusted.
Bikes are just a little behind with stuff like this.
Oh the MV F4 doesn't have ABS yet either.
Ran across this thread while researching My YamaGamma build. It's been a few years back, but once had the little RG blasting along at 117.5 mph/189.09 kph on gps, flat road and still pulling a bit. Some serious engine mods by the previous owner, Thanks Randy! This thing Is just a hoot to ride!! Done with the stock chambers, the Jolly Moto's were off for a crack repair.... the JM's are back on now, I need to rejet and see if the PO's seat of the pants estimate of 55-60 hp holds up. Great as it was, but I'll just have to live with it if the JM's add a bit.... I've had it and an 85 RG400 for six years now, It'll be a battle deciding which to ride when I finish the YamaGamma since they all will have different personalities. Oh, yeah... the best part is that I am located a bit west of most of you, Arizona. Don't run across RG's too often here, it's always cool on that odd occasion when I get chased down by someone who knows, just to shoot the shit. I can't wait to get the YamaGamma on the road.
My CBR250R (2012) topped out at 140Km/h @8000RPM. Won't go any faster and it took a LOT of work to get there.
