Does anybody know what product the poms use on their unpainted f2 chassis to make them so clean & shiny?
Pinky is getting the full pre season strip & I'd like to get it cleaned up while it's apart.

Green Scotchbrite pad and any car polish with lotsa wax init?...or elbow grease......or Rub n Buff

I've heard "duck oil" which i've seen advertised but never seen here in NZ which would seem to be a water repellent used after the polish - and no Scrivy, I don't know if that's like Goat Oil...
Gun shops may have something similar to duck oil.

Money saving tip for those towing trailers.
Go & get brand new number plates for your trailer so it is registered as a 2014 model. You will be on a three year wof initially & then going back to a one year, never to be 6 month wof again, it soon pays for itself.
It wont however help you when you shit a wheel bearing an hour out from Manfield at 11pm on a Friday night.
So if you do it, keep an eye on stuff yourself.

Marketing Chemicals www.mchem.co.nz in AK make a product called Metalbrite. Transport operators like Bonneys who run tankers use it to keep their gear clean . It is a mild acid so you cant leave it on for long , & make sure you get it all off with a hose.
