They tend to be more lenient with vintage bikes - I think they like to see them out there on the roads still![]()
Sure and a trained cop should know that doing a U-turn on a blind corner is a stupid thing to do. I didn't say we nearly died or anything like that. I said there was heavy braking going on which if the idiot had waited until he was out of the corner and saw that traffic was behind him he would have just pulled over and waited for the 2 vehicles.
Also I find it extremely amazing that in the middle of a corner the cop could detect and decide that the vehicle or person driving it was doing anything other then speeding or was wanted for something else.
I guess the middle ground would be that all drivers need to be aware of the big picture. Personally I don't like to follow a patrol car closer than a few seconds for the very reason it may need/wish to execute a U-turn. A patrol car doing a U-turn in a marginal area is no more dangerous than someone droning along with the "eyes on the horizon and the brain in neutral" while maintaining that comfortable 1 second gap me thinks![]()
See thing is when ya get cocky some cunt comes along and puts you in your place, had to happen its been a long time between drinks.I blame the internet. Most annoying thing was i had this feeling when i saw the thing (unmarked) but ignored it,would probably still have been clocked but could have saved a few demerits. On the no tolerance thing i asked the bloke outta interest and he wasnt bothering up to 105 fwiw to which i added why dont we just call this 110 but....no.Dont ask you dont get.
Be the person your dog thinks you are...
Haha bloody internet.
Hey I was thinking as vehicles are only required to have speedos reading within 10% error rate from new how the fuck can a under 10% allowance be enforced? Say I have a new Toyota XXX and get done for 107 when I have cruise set to 100 - Toyota won;t give a fuck as they are within there legal requirements.
Arse.
Not sure what the laws are around new car speedo requirements, but I have never seen any car that reads low. I've seen speedos 10% out but it's always been reading high, ie reads 110 but doing 100. You might find they have to be within 10% but must read high if they are not accurate?
Yeah, nah.
