Shame for the dudes family in all seriousness, we all make mistakes. An RCD would have saved this chaps life, I wonder why there wasn't one fitted at the cam site? I'm pretty sure it's code to do so

I bought a cheap RCD a few years back just because I thought I should. Saved me a couple of years ago when I cut into the extension cord while trimming the hedge with electric clippers. Everything stopped working so I went tio the power source and found the RCD tripped. Went back to the clippers to find it's teeth all mixed up with the exposed cables. Quite a moment that was as I was at home by myself and I just pictured Mrs Oakie coming home to find me karked it by the hedge. Don't work without one now if I'm using something with a blade.

Eew and ouch - that would not have made good headlines nationally let alone on KB! Be careful out there!

It is code to upgrade to RCD,s when you are replacing or adding to circuits on an older property.
    All new stuff is RCD.

One way to get your own R.I.P thread. The trouble with electricity, you cant see it coming.

It's sad of course that the young fella died. But if you're on holiday and music from next door just after midnight bothers you that much...you're hardly the life of the party?! Should he have drunk more? Or been in bed with a lovely lass...

    Today.
    Mitre 10 Mega.

    Plug in RCD. $13.95.

No reason for anyone to NOT have one. Small enough to fit in your pocket.

I work with electric appliances, so I make sure I always have an RCD in my pocket, just in case I get electrocuted
