More mothering shit. They had the option straight away. Pull over and take it like a man. They already DID something and failed to stop. Start going back to the crap of cops not giving chase then every man and their dog will start speeding away from cops again. Just look what happened when they were not able to touch them on their own property. They all started running.

Nothing new here, been done before.
Only thing wrong is the use of "Epic Fail" in thread title, just another police pursuit successfully concluded.

Someone wants to not stop has something to hide. In this case drugs but could be anything. Maybe stolen and not yet reported and so on.
Conclusion. Motorbike is not equipped to handle impact with cop car so don't attempt slow speed escape.

And he could have been disabled for being young and scared with a doobie on his pocket. Being run into could really fuck you up. And I'm a middle aged business man. Well approaching.

Had a polished ally and black stripe tank model when I was a lad. No reserve tap setting as it turned out. Not ad easy to push as you'd think.

Is hard to say. Around 1991. Was on the Thames st on one of the corners near Nen street area. Rider was travelling South on Thames street attempting a rt turn. Braked to turn and got hit from behind.

Police pursuits incur risk and it's in place in other countries to break of the pursuit when the risks put the public (including the rider/driver) in danger. Deliberately knocking a rider off a bike can cause serious injury and the pursuit IMHO should have been ended or an alternative tactic such as blocking used.

I think this is the part that worries me the most - I have little tolerance for young people who run scarred from the law (Don't run, take it like a man) but the above is why if there is such a policy I would want it well documented and I would like attempting it to be considered Lethal force (the same way that they need authorisation in the US to attempt a PIT) - because The wrong cop, with the wrong chip on his shoulder on the wrong day will result in death or a wheelchair.

And the police complaints authority will do a fantastic job of shielding the police from any responsibility

Ok for us older dudes though aye.

Did a runner from the back of a cop car one night at the sunset rd traffic lights, took off running towards the industrial estate towards mairangi bay.
Was going great until I found the number 8 wire strung across the earthworks at neck height.

Another night in warkworth I gave them the slip and was hiding under a deck at the back of a house, but unfortunately it was a local cops house.
