2009 for me. Strikes at funny times, especially on an empty stomach. You burp 2009 instant coffee and then hallucinate that you're standing at the parts counter for a second or two. I broke a toilet after a particularly violent episode once.

Pete, out of more than passing interest can the 650FU be lowered at all?
Lol. Thanks. And yep...we can drop 'em a bit.

Mt07 looks good, but the gsx can be de-restricted further down the line, eliminating the need to buy a new bike at the end of license restrictions

If buying a new bike on your full, i'd buy an old s**tbox bike to learn on. Infact, i kinda have, its just a touch too small hahaha still does the job and its cheep, also doesnt matter quite so much when you drop it because it owes you less

Thanks for the links and replys

Btw cheap for me is $5000 mark wish I had $11,000 those 650s look awesome.

I'm following a 2002 gs500 on trade me around the $5000 mark and. Bunch of $3200-$4000 250 cc bikes I would flick after my full I.e Suzuki gsx 250, gw250 and hyosung gt250. There are a bunch of 250 ninjas and Cbrs around the $5000 mark also but if 250 would rather buy cheaper.

Just missed a 650 boulovard for low $4000 mark.

Doing some reasearch of dual purpose bikes also

Why would you consider a 250, when a bike like theGS500 i a far better proposition? Honestly, regardless of (for instance) the reputation of the CBR250, etc, they are all getting old, and have suffered years of abuse, misuse, and low maintenance. There will be very few of the older ones that I would 'trust' as a bike purely for those reasons. As the LAM's law is so new, there is little to no chance of a good secondhand lams '250+' being raped and fucked. 250's can look nice, but there is a plethora of cheap chinese fairing kits, exhausts that look bloody good, and will make a shitbox look the biz.

Good call, great links. Will follow them up, starting to get the feeling that a 250cc is a waste of time.
