Winston wins Northland - what now?

I just see on the TV that Winston has won Northland by about 4000 votes! - I hope that is good for the country!

can't be any worse that Mike Sabin. Now that is going to be interesting to see pan out, once the bugger looses his name supression.

Or how good would have been for the country if this Osborne guy would have won....if Joyce would let him speak?

the only thing that I want to know is how much all these Star National MP's in their limosines have cost us the Tax Payers?

Could we get Mike Sabin and the National Party donors to re-fund the cost to the treasury?

Now we get to see the master worm his way out of all his promises as well. Good old Winston! Still he is a better choice than Rob Ford...oops, I mean Osbourne!

    Great.....

Now Winston - The hot air balloon, the perpetual state beneficiary, the spanner in the beurocratic machine - Peters, gets to play king maker again.

    Fucking Great.

This is extremely good for New Zealand. No matter what you think of Winnie, he's an extremely effective politician who will drag this government back towards the centre.

And beats the hell out of that kiddy fiddler Sabin that the Nats stood behind.

Well currently he can't actually deliver on the promises he made (which Nats highlighted anyway). So as above, let's watch him weasel out of them.

However, it would seem that the north had had enough, felt things weren't getting done, so pushed for a change. Fair enough to them and how democracy works. I haven't seen how that changes the mix of parliament (other than being the obvious seat down on the right).

On a personal level I detest Winston, pretty much everything bad about politicians, stirs up shit periodically on well flogged horses just to get some screen time etc and lying most of the time to round out the package.

Why are you saying he is a kiddie fiddler? I thought he was being done for assault?

If nothing else, everybody who voted or watched TV tonight knows who is MP for Northland.
I have zero expectations but high hopes for entertainment.
Our MP, Winston, loves being on the telly and Northland has the best rabble rousers. Great combo.

Hopefully, TPPA is something that will lose national the next election.
