It's the closed set of weirdos that are happy to hide all sorts of exotic & expensive shit in their engines under a shield of nonchalance by leaving the bodywork in a mess in an effort to disguise their efforts that I couldn't stand.
Just think of buckets like your missis, fucken ugly, but it's what's on the inside that counts

Pretty sure you havent met my missus. At least she puts in a bit of effort to look her best most of the time while being in good nick. You guys should do the same with your bikes instead of pretending theyre buckets, or is it considered uncool to have a nicely presented one?

Also, hit the tank with a hammer a few times & don't paint where the damage occurs.
You may have a few issues if you are doing it just for fun. Here in NZ bucket racing is only slightly less serious than Moto GP.

Sounds more like sour grapes. Didn't win so everyone else is a cunt.

To be honest mine looked ok when I first built it. It has now had five years of having the crap chrashed out of it. Since I average a crash about every meeting and a half, trying to keep it tidy just seems like a lot of effort and a hiding to nothing.

Oh fuckin please. I left home knowing it was going to come last, fuck, it was a one speed standard scooter FFS, I just thought it might be a bit of fun.
If you want to read about sour grapes have a look at the emotional wrecks that posted in the "rules " thread about someone that tipped out & re mounted, youd almost think they were doing real racing.
Christ sake, ive won NZ titles on real stuff, it wasnt a big deal. But its pretty sad when the most exciting part of a race meeting is driving there & you think it would be more fun clipping the hedges at home.
You guys should probably be told that im just winding you up for entertainment, seeing as you cant work that out for yourselves.

So in doing so you are making it a lot less fun for everyone else. If you didn't have fun, its a shame but there you go, tried it didn't like it.

Why are you trying to spoil it for everyone else? You've made a farce of this thread. Wouldn't your time be better spent clipping hedges, making money, finding something you do like?
Don't you look at my accountant.

i can see where side show bob is coming from , if he came to the north island rounds he would see everyone gets on very well and is very social ! as soon as you bring in so called big bike rules ! real bike rules in his case ! it brings the worst out in people ! do this do that or go home type shit ! but then they dont stick to it , then the shit happens , for me it because over the years if a did anything wrong ! , i got my head ripped of , ie starting my bike up as church was on on a air base type shit ... but hay i learn't not to do that even though i was not told , just dont base things on one round ! it was the gp and i understaned it is not your normal event. just got to suck it in and wait for fun times to start again

Sometimes you wish it was easier, but if it was, everyone else would do it, then you remember you don't want to be like everybody else!
