Was that the one that had a write up in 'The Shed' last month? Never even realized it was on the go over here. Very interesting man and company.

There better be some sardonic wisecracking involved as well, that "Chewie, we're home" line was wetter than a wet thing.

Oh and good on that other guy with his electric motor and stuff.
Moe: Well, I'm better than dirt. Well, most kinds of dirt. I mean not that fancy store bought dirt. That stuffs loaded with nutrients. I...I can't compete with that stuff.

Yep, I agree. There are some really cool technologies out there and NZ, as always is right up there.

This was interesting too I thought, http://ewao.com/a/1-ancient-egyptian...s-of-years-old
Any ideas? This is where all the experts hang out, so someone on here should know.

It looks like an impeller for a pump but to make (carve it?) it out of shale is incredible!

You have to view from the mind set of the times as to what it was for and we can't really do that.

Maybe to replicate it (3D printing?) and try it out in different applications would help - but one would assume that they have already done that - very interesting!

I was reading something the other day that archaeologists in russia found a casting of an aluminium type substance that was found somewhere deep within the earth. They said that it must have been forged from all the studies they did, and estimated that it could be as old as 30.000 years old.
    Interesting times indeed.

This one? If so you need a few more zero's. At least it shows there were bikes back in the day

Not the one I was reading, but that is even more impressive. And slightly more interesting.
