Amazing how uninformed yet opinionated some people can become after a few weeks of limited riding experience.
I hope for you that both you and your "bike" live long enough to get your full licence....
not that I will miss you if you don't.

I'm over 6 foot and mine fits just fine. Why do you think they are made for shorties?

Went for a ride on demo with wifey on back. Knees were above tank height. Body was leaning back so far wife could barely sit on the back.
Plus it scraped the muffler on the very first corner.
    WMC offered a solution though.

New seat positioned further back, new bars and highway pegs 3 inches forward plus new pipes plus upgraded suspension.
Made the good value 34k bike even more valuable.

Maybe next time ill try a Roadking or Ultraglide.

Was a softail custom. Im not up with the codes but fxstc is possibly the one I was on. Think it would have been 2007. Never got on another Harley since. Plus I was getting offered a laughable low trade in value at the time. Ended up buying a bmwr1200s instead.

I'm hankering after a GS1200 myself. Not that I would quit the HD. The only thing I really miss on the HD is the other 50% of the power to weight ratio I lost going to a Harley from the T1200.

What did I gain? A hell of a lot of comfort, not fast comfort as I really don't want to go much faster than 120kph normally on any bike these days. Also the HD is just brillant and I mean stuningly brillant in strong cross winds.

Only reason I am even thinking Harley again is I have the café racer for one up fun and the ninja travelling at 1/3 max speed seems overkill.
Road block is serious lack of trade in due to Harley dealerships tending to think you will sacrifice anything to buy one and the fact home ownership creates light wallet syndrome now. Find 15k to Harley up or 15k for new roof and carpet in master bedroom plus concrete for the back steps and coloured stones for the clothes line area.

Try a Dyna mate. Bigger frame than the Softail. Quite a bit more leg room.

My budget has diminished now so its not going to happen before WMC drops dealership. After my last attempt I would need sell the ninja prior to looking also. I think the Harley is going to be a fair way off for me. Time to get me would have been pre race and house days.
