He didn't bother turning after me at least.

Doesn't count, it's all down hill going towards Murupara. The state highway out of Taupo going towards Rangitaiki on the Napier/Taupo road is good but highly Policed.

I did 200 km/hr on my ST1100 on a long straight through the canefields out of Mackay in tropical central Queensland. That was a oncer just to see how fast she'd go. I believe there were another 20 to 30 km/hr in her at that speed. When you say it's 125 mph it doesn't sound as fast.

nothing unless you do damage... you have to give your name etc if you get stopped (caught)... then they warn you that you're trespassing & don't do it again, get caught again you get a written warning & then if caught again done for trespassing... pretty sure that's how it goes, but then I could be wrong

The definition of a 'road' in the legislation includes 'A place to which the public have access, weather as of right or not'.
Which includes closed or yet-to-be-opened roads.

So in short you could still be ticketed / lose licence blah blah.

The 14kms long straight from hurunui to culverden is a good place But it's filled with cops all year round.

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.
