Things NOT good at the Isle today

There's been an announcement of an incident with a helicopter ( poss near Creg). No more news as yet)

Helicopter down in creg sounds like it crashed !

The wind is really picking up now

Bugger Dam poos an wees for them all

    UPDATE
Just 1 involved. Private helicopter. Not from Island. Being treated

update update from a friend who is a marshall over there

hey Shaun - looking at the strong winds i would be surprised to see anything today mate. latest news is 'possibly' looking at 5pm sidecar race today. they have also run out of hospital bed spaces at the moment!!!!!

Another update then bugger it, I am going to bed

Gary Thompson, TT CoC, says is questionable if airmed could fly at the moment and that that they've been informed that there are no beds available at Nobles hospital at the moment.

The current provisional schedule is now:
Roads closing 3.15pm from Ramsey, 3.30pm Mountain, 4pm rest of the course
    Sidecar race start 5pm
    Parade lap 4.30pm
    Solo Practices after that

    He stresses that is provisional.

Great ride by Bruce Anstey who got his 10th TT win in the Superbikes. Well done.
The commentators refer to him as the most laid back and relaxed rider in the paddock.
Hope the rest of the week goes well for him.

    Or not...

As you've found, the TT throws up many surprises.

It went pretty good - second places (behind Hutchy who was having a blinding week) in both 600 Supersport races and 2nd behind McPint in the Leccy bike race. OK finishes in both the 1000 Superstock and Senior races.

John McG set a new outright lap record (approx. 132.7 mph) on Lap 2 of the (shortened) Senior TT, so Bruce has that to get back next year.

Always approachable. This was taken at the Mugen tent, and Bruce was happy to chat to fans passing by.

4 guys went over Bruce's old record, which is quite astonishing, in my opinion. The pace needed to win a big race now is incredible. Wonder how quick they'll go next year?

Search for Cam Donald's video diary day 5. He had quite an eventful day that Friday, to say the least!

Looking forward to next year already.

Did you see the new Kawasaki Ninja H2 that they rode around the track to show off.

It is supercharged and has a claimed 320 HP. That will be a widowmaker of the future.

It is supercharged...which is illegal for any circuit racing class. Supercharging was banned in any FIM covered racing classes when racing resumed post WW2. They actually stated that in the TV article.

One article I read thought that Kawasaki more of a headline grabber and a testbed. Apparently supercharging can offer some advantages as to emissions and it was felt that Kawasaki may be looking at the feasability of intoducing a smaller supercharged production bike in future. We will see?

Didn't see it as I wasn't there this year. But apparently James Hillier got 206mph (GPS) out of it on Sulby straight. If made official would be; by some margin, the highest ever top speed on the course.

And yeah, it doesn't fit into any class with its supercharger. The TT organisers could make a dispensation for the Senior, but very unlikely.
