The myth of anti Semitism?. I would like an explanation of this comment Oldie, is it just a myth were Jews and other religions ever striped of nationality or persecuted or prevented from owning land or had all there assets seized. Was this all really just a myth?

Seems they were treated pretty much like we here in NZ treated the Chinese in the goldrush.
There is also strong parallels with how the Australian aborigines were also treated.
The treatment of the American Indians seems eerily similar also.
This is not even comparing the treatment of the Black South Africans.
Or the white Zimbabwean's or the native Zimbabwean's a hundred or so years prior to this.

I think I see the issue here - there are in fact 2 separate discussions that could be had:

1: whether or not those who happen to be Jewish and in positions of executive power are working together to further their own aims

for this conversation I am in little doubt that it occurs, but in the same way as those who are Freemasons work together, those who are Christians work together, those who are African-American work together etc.

The next discussion is the pertinent one

2: whether or not blaming everything on the Jews is Anti-Semitic

For this conversation I say that it is. Now in a similar vein of the article posted - I am in little doubt that there are groups that use the veil of Anti-Semitism to censure discussion - again much the same way as people play the Race card to stifle discussion, the Sexism/Misogyny card etc.

The point I am conveying here is that whilst I agree there are probably some dodgy dealings going on behind closed doors, they are no more or no less dodgy than what every other group is trying to do and so to single them out as the sole cause is definitely anti-Semitic.

Probably the final comment is that anytime either side starts throwing around claims - the evidence presented tends to be rather flimsy and is based on a lot of conjecture, the conjectured 'evidence' is then used as the basis for even more conjecture and the end result tends to be rife with compound errors.

I'm going to pick one (the Holocaust - mainly because it is the subject I have the most familiarity with) and ask this:

Skepticism that there are some facts we are not (and may never be) party to is one thing.

But it is a bold claim to infer that the Holocaust had a Why behind it that somehow the Jews were complicit in this.
