Yup I remember the guy and its the same story. He spent months in hospital, was very lucky to have lived through it. From memory he will never be able to ride a bike again.

The obsession with learning how to "get the knee down" is amusing. A year or so back I recall meeting a young chap in Welly in the industrial area where I'd go to practice braking and low speed stuff. He's trying to get his wheelie technique right and this when it's obvious it's a damn struggle to him just to actually ride the bike at low speed

But yeah thanks to the OP we've all had a chuckle or three. Hope it doesn't end in hospital food for him
