Nothing against a x crashed by previous owner 2000 model rsv not rebuilt to original but 7.5 buys more than that.
That's what I was thinking anyway.

He's got to be as lazy at as me

If he actually still has it and it came down in price, so keen. I look at it every few months and drool a little. Mind you, hang in long enough and it will increase in value again eh

Is the photo date stamped 2010?

The problem with crashing an rsv, is the frame is cracked really easily by the foot levers, which tends to write them off. Some not so honest folk will bog the cracks and paint over them.

Either way, like you say 7.5 is way too much for that bike.

That is most likely the camera manufacture date/default. If you pull the battery out some reset to default, and then if you're to lazy to put the correct date or turn date stamping off it will have some random old date on yer happy snaps.

you mean where the brake or gear lever dents the casting? that's only cosmetic, but as you say it writes them off because the insurance cost of replacing the frame is generally more $ than what the bike is worth.

Yup that's the bit, and no they're not just cosmetic. Mate's bike was written off because of it

They still pass a warrant with those dents. It's the cost involved to make the bike like new, not a safety issue.

didnt they have swingarm/suspension linkages that were made of chocolate and broke causing crashes and one death? I remember reading a long forum thread on it and someone had done FEA on it and there were lawsuits and stuff. Germany and NZ and UK I think?

I love them (I LOOOOOOVE the RSV4-R and the RSV4 Tuono) but I would never buy one due to the shitness of the importer and the niggling "what if" in my head.
