I'm a little disappointed though. With just the left side holding it all, it's surprisingly rigid. I'd have gone with 100x50 and made it single sided if we'd had the axle made to have the bearings further apart.

Oh well, we're not shelling out for another to be made now.

Are you going to do any boxing in and/or gusseting ?

Is that caliper just sitting there or is there a mount done ?
If the mount is still to be done, a good trick to hold the caliper in place while you fabricate the mounts is simply to put compressed air into the caliper.
I've remounted so many bloody calipers now I've made three different thread adaptors for my air line. Very useful too.

Not sure what you mean about boxing in. After I weld up the joints, there's no more bracing or strength require.

Yeah, calliper is just sitting there. I like that idea for hold it in position. We've probably got a fitting in the drawer that can be made to work. Cheers bro.

It was at a stage where we could just ride it before. But that ain't how I roll.

What you learn from this build you take to the next one.

Yes, I've seen you roll, in fact I commentated the whole thing, my favourite part was Al leaping up & shaking your hand. He's an odd wee man.

We have someone just like that down here, I should put you two in touch so you can swap build stories

It's back on its wheels. Fuck yeah!

To celebrate, we chopped a bunch of stuff off it.

Calliper mount nearly done. Al will spin up some inserts to weld into the swinging arm, and that's the rear ready for paint.

Hahahahahahahahaha, read a couple of the early pages.
