You can't believe any of it as its MSM- need to find some obscure blog

Essential Wiki quote- must be true as not MSM

Notable events concerning Russia in the Syrian Civil War

In October–November 2011, the Syrian National Council is formed. Russia and China exercise veto authority over a United Nations resolution seeking to condemn and sanction the Assad government.[58]

In December 2011–February 2012, the Arab League Monitoring Mission is deployed to Syria, unarmed. Violence between the Assad government and the opposition forces grows, and many flee the country. A second UN resolution is voted down by China and Russia.[58]

On 11 June 2013, President Vladimir Putin acknowledged that President Assad's position had led to the current situation in Syria. He stated on Russian state media that:

"Syria as a country was rife for some kind of change. And the government of Syria should have felt that in due time and should have undertaken some reform. Had they done that, what we're seeing in Syria today would have never happened."[77]

On 26 June 2013, the Deputy Russian Foreign Minister confirmed that the small Russian naval base at Tartus has been evacuated. Mikhail Bogdanov stated that: "Presently, the Russian Defense Ministry has not a single person stationed in Syria. The base does not have any strategic military importance".[78][79]

On 9 September 2013, responding to U.S. threats of strikes against Syria in response to use of chemical weapons in Syria, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov issued a proposal intended to avert a U.S. attack, with provisions including Syria's placing its chemical weapons under international control and their subsequent destruction.[80]

On 12 September 2013, The New York Times published an op-ed by Vladimir Putin urging the United States to avoid unilateral military action and work with international cooperation in support of a negotiated solution to the Syrian conflict.[81]

On 30 September 2015, the Russia’s State Duma approved the use of Russian troops in Syria to fight terrorist groups, the Islamic State in particular, at a request from the Syrian President Bashar Assad.[5]
    2015 intervention and airstrikes
It has been suggested that Russian-led intervention in Syria be merged into this section. (Discuss) Proposed since September 2015.
See also: Russian-led intervention in Syria and September 2015 Russian air raids in Syria

As of September 2015, Russia has stepped up its military presence in Syria, deploying 12 SU-25 ground attack aircraft, 12 SU-24 interdictor aircraft[82][83], 6 Sukhoi Su-34 medium bombers[84] and 4 SU-30 multirole combat aircraft and 15 helicopters (including Mi-24 Hind attack helicopters)[85] at the Bassel Al-Assad International Airport near Latakia.[86][87][88][89][90] The planes are protected by at least two or possibly three SA-22 surface-to-air, antiaircraft systems, and unarmed MQ-1 Predator-like surveillance drones are being used to fly reconnaissance missions.[87] In addition to air forces, ground forces include 6 T-90 tanks, 15 artillery pieces, 35 armored personnel carriers and 200 Marines (with housing facilities for 1,500 personnel)[91] BM-30 Smerch multiple missile launchers have been spotted near Latakia.[92]

In response to reports of Russian intervention, the Army of Conquest's Liwa al-Haqq commander Abu Abdullah Taftanaz posted a tweet addressing the "infidel Russians", inviting them to send troops to Syria and saying that "we have thousands like Khattab" who would "slaughter your pigs".[93][94] Abu Abdullah Taftanaz also tweeted Russian military terms for Syrian rebels to familiarize themselves with if they intercepted Russian radio chatter.[95][96][97][98][99] Reportedly Chechen and Caucasian foreign fighters have begun flocking to the coastal regions of Syria where the Russians are based in order to seek them out.[100] Ahmad Eissa al-Sheikh, a commander in Ahrar ash-Sham, threatened to bring upon "Russian hell in a Levantine flavor" if they encountered the Russians.[101][102] Harakat Fajr ash-Sham al-Islamiya leader Abu Abdullah ash-Shami tweeted about the "globalization" of the "Levantine Jihad".[103][104] He also tweeted that on the Russians and said that "The Levant will become their graveyard, with the permission of Allah".[105]

On 30 September 2015, Russian President Vladimir Putin requested permission from Federation Council, the upper house of the Russian parliament, to deploy the country's military in Syria. Permission was granted after a unanimous vote, however any combat operations will be limited to using the air force.[106] On the same day Russian media reported that Syrian President Bashir Asad had asked for Russia to intervene by providing military assistance.[107]

On 30 September 2015, Russia launched its first aistrikes against targets in Rastan, Talbisseh, and Zaafarani in Homs province of Syria.[108][109][110][111] Moscow gave the United States a one-hour advanced notice of its operations.[112]

Obama is pissed with Putin for meddling in their war - the whole USA objective was to get rid of Assad and destroy Syria - followed by Iran!

They were trying to wage war between NATO and Russia - to keep them too busy to intervene in the Middle East - then they would help NATO!

Maybe Putin is too smart and keeps getting in the way - Obama is not enjoying (little man) Putin showing him up and spoiling his wars! - -

True, BUT, it is all just about money, so creating wars to generate more money. Take a look at the % of yanks employed through the war industry, boot lace makers and up and so on, a massive % of there total work force is created from throwing bombs and murdering people basically

You only make money if you country is not part of the battlefield aka the US in all its wars since 1865 ( Pearl Harbor doesn't count) technically there may be some advances but socially its sets places back years.

Not disputing that - it's the "why" that confuses most of us!

Henry Kissinger revealed it all back in 2009 - http://www.wnd.com/2009/01/85442/ - Old adage: From Chaos comes order! - a New World Order perhaps?

Obama should be right on track with the chaos but for that damn Putin who keeps on getting in his way and outmanoeuvring him!

Obama is running out of time - the next USA election might end in sensation and maybe Obama just might get an unprecedented emergency stay (extension) in office!

(No proof about this - entirely the feeling that I get thinking about the current situation - totally prepared to be wrong - time will tell!)

Obama ran out of time with this around 3 years ago. They should have gone in then and just destroyed nuked what ever the scum bad shit hole places. Sadly, in situations like this, there is always civillians that loose there lives, but do we just sit back and let the terrorists run the world, or do we stop it once and or all, for the good of a lot more citizens world wide.

    You're on the right track.

Putin is going in to help a customer of his. Also, there is the longer view.
Assad was a dictator who kept the country under one rule.
The "revolution" led to Syria breaking into factions, which led to an opportunity for isis to gain some ground. Too much ground, as it happened...
Putin had two choices, support Assad (2nd option, due to the UN's incompetent buch of loonies).
Or provide him with exile (1st option, but that has obviously become the second option now).

The threat posed by the mussie-wuzzies is becoming greater to the entire region, so re-imposing the dictator is the better option according to putin.

Main point. How soon do we see Russian aircraft falling out of the sky?
The Russian air force is in a bad state. Airframes are nearing the end of their lives and have been failing often. Engines are even more serious due to the invasion of Ukraine and the loss of manufacturing facilities to replace these parts.
The Blackjack bombers seen near UK airspace recently... This will not last very long, but putin needs to be seen as "strong" in his own country. The "unanimous vote" in the Russian parliament in support of the Syrian excursion is evidence of this.

The yanks are full of shit - why would they create ISIS and then wipe them out prematurely - Putin is singing I did it my way - Obama is grinding his teeth!

    Link: http://www.theguardian.com/world/201...-syria-says-us -

Russia should stay out of our private war against Assad - says USA!

Quote: While Putin has characterised the Syrian president as a heroic fighter against terrorism, Kerry reiterated again on Wednesday that “by definition” Isis could not be defeated while Assad remained in power. End of Quote!

The real target of the USA is Assad not ISIS.

They wanted NATO to start a war with Russia - now it looks like they will have do it themselves in Syria - or shut the fuck up for a while!

Many people don't understand the Russian military doctrine. They are very smart and don't play the same gameplan as the west.
Russia is all about defence, they have seen the economic and military disaster that the Americans have created for themselves, heaps of expensive overseas bases with resupply issues.
Russia will never invade anyone, they will provide very rapid support for chosen allies in a massive no nonsense manner.
They have spent over 400 billion in last ten years modernising their armed forces. Stories of decay are same propaganda plants as the ones about usa F35 being a lemon etc.....
Watch ISIS turn and run, no CIA paycheck is big enough for them to face the Russian war machine, they will quickly fall apart with out American resupply. Guess they'll be a whole lot of Toyota hilux's going cheap soon....

Oddly enough - even if I do not agree with some of their actions or policies Russia's finger to the rest of the world and doing their own thing kind of appeals to me. Somewhere within this ageing body I own is the rebel still.
